    I know you have mate.

Apart from explaining why I have trouble with the trust, on two occasions now, I don't think I've ever said a bad word about what you're currently doing with it. It's just I find it difficult to go back to an organisation (it's essentially the same one, same name, even if the people are different) that not only angered me, but I believe let down our whole fan base.

Sorry, mate, that wasn't my intention. I was trying to emphasise that these events will prove to be more popular when featuring ex-players from successful & happier periods in the club's history, rather than the darker times.

Just to add to one of the early posts in this thread, streaming the evenings would be a good idea especially for those that dont live ion barnsley and also mid week find it hard to get there and back especially if they dont drive, also clearer publicity i knew about the event but it was a bit mixed how you read it and maybe a town centre venue would be better especially no7 or lamproom etc just my thoughts from a distance

It's a fluid entity though mate, it should in theory be bigger than any individuals. But if people stand off it, it will cease to be that and will continue to be problematic if you allow it to be. I'm of the attitude, if you don't like something - change it and a lot of people currently in the trust did just that. You have tons of great ideas and more importantly, a sound moral centre that would be a welcome and valuable asset. So stop sulking and get involved. :)

I know this is a weird reason, but I feel like I wouldn't really 'belong' there. I love reading the questions and answers on here, but I'd feel weird turning up. I definitely wouldn't ask a question (I'm very shy!) Other reasons include 1. I'd be on my own and 2. I can't really be doing with travelling there, especially on a school night.

For me it was (in no particular order):

    - it was described as a trust "meeting" so wasn't sure of the format, maybe a description as "an evening with..." would have been better? Dunno, may just be me.
    - having work this morning, wouldn't have been able to resist drinking a gallon
    - being at Oakwell the previous evening and having a skin-full in the Glavin suite then Legends suite and feeling a bit tender
    - wasn't sure if it was just a case of turning up and walking in, always a chance it could have been full to capacity, maybe having tickets and charging a fiver or something to cover printing and postage would have been better? Again, may be just me who would prefer that.

I've often thought about going to these events but always expected them to be packed out and don't want to make a wasted journey if you can't get in.

It also depends on shift patterns, switching a shift for a game is hard enough without having an event the next day.

Did fancy coming myself, but really didn't fancy another drive from Hull and back just hours after doing it for the Blackburn game!

Would have attended but couldn't make it due to work commitments. Hope to be able to make others!

Yes mate can imagine. To be honest having it the night after a home match probably wasn't the wisest move!
