Yes. The cost of relegation, which we could have laid squarely at their door for player sales & too many inexperienced signings in does not have to be met. The lads are now blooded, so a perfect time to have a good window, with maybe one or two going for decent money, fringe players let go & a couple of quality heads in & of course hanging on to Herr Struber, if we can. I can't see anyone not getting behind that & could see us doing better next season, with maybe a few clubs starting on minus 12.

I think communications is very very important. But it has to be timely and relevant. If there is too little, rumours start and people make it up, if there is too much people start to read between the lines and conspiracy theories start. I’m not precious about hearing from our owners. I believe the club has employed a CEO and staff to do the communication. Of course people will sit up and listen when owners do communicate directly but it’s no big deal for me.

Sorry pal, was taking the piss. There was a similar question asked last week and anyone who thought that BFC could potentially get into trouble got a right earful from some on here.

Why should it always be the case of people just moving on and letting someone get away with treating them like crap?

Why should 10,000 barnsley fans have to just move on and forget what con way did rather than him being man enough to stand up and apologise?

Of course there are bigger things but in relation to barnsley FC I don't think there's much bigger than the actions of the owner of the club

Apologise for what ? Sacking an out of depth manager who was looking to get out behind the clubs and players backs ? Getting a manager from a UEFA Cup club to do mission impossible ? Putting players on 3 yr contracts and not have half a first team of loan players ? Or for being foreign business people and not from Wombwell ? Are Sheffield Utd fans moaning about their owner having an interest in The Belgium side that beat Oostende the other night ?

My view of Conway is that he is an arrogant **** that wants his own way. However if he was member of the BBS I doubt he would be alone in that category. Having said all that, it doesn't mean that he doesn't have the skill set to do the job properly.

We certainly aren't doing anything wrong. Look at the Red Bull franchise and the Watford-Udinese-Granada link up in the Pozzo family. There would only be an issue in the unlikely event of Barnsley, KV Oostende and/or FC Thun qualifying for the same European tournament. Even then Red Bull somehow managed to circumvent the rules to have Leipzig and Salzburg both allowed to compete in the Champions League. There have also been 18 transfers between the two clubs.

. I still don’t get what the current owners have done to create such angst in some fans , certainly nothing that Cryne didn’t do .

As a general point I still don't understand nearly three years in why our current owners bought us.
I have no axe to grind for or against them but i don't see what they get out of it. I don't think they take money out of the club nor do they put any in. They said they wouldn't. Conway apart they're almost never here in person and clearly have no emotional connection to the club.
My only thought when they came in was that, as a Championship club, it was a cheap way to buy a lottery ticket to the huge amounts of cash swilling round the greed league. But then you look at them buying Thun and Oostende and trying to buy Partick Thistle and there clearly isn't a path to riches there.
In short I've got no clue why they're here.

TBH, unless you are a wealthy fan I don't get why anyone buys a football team, other than those teams at the very top of the tree that have spin offs for marketing their other businesses.
