Spoke to someone yesterday who reads BBS but doesn't post. He's read this thread and mentioned Wednesday, Derby etc with selling their own ground to effectively themselves at over inflated prices. A ground could be valued. Could a player? I suppose I get his point.

His point (and nobody including me is indicating nothing is wrong with the transfer in any way and my OP was a question regarding rules etc) is what if we were struggling with FFP and they sold McGeehan to effectively themselves for £20 million to get us around the rules? I know we're not anywhere near that situation. But if Wednesday owner owned a club in say France and he'd done the same instead of the ground sale then what would happen?

Again I'll reiterate it's a hypothetical question not an accusation.
