    I get nearly 2 days out of mine without charging.

    Use Juice Defender or Llama to preserve the battery and it's no problem.

    HTC One, good choice.

    Disagree about battery been poor. Maybe u have one one the cheaper models?

    And for SIM card no.

    It uses a micro SIM, but you will probably get a new one in the box to port over. Otherwise I'm told you can pop out or trim your current one down.

    If payg, just take it to phone provider shop if you struggle.
