Entirely agree. Someone on a low income can easily drown in debt if they are not careful. I suppose financial institutions are a bit more responsible about it these days but it's still possible to get into trouble. I'm lucky that I have never been in that situation.

 

I was talking to an experienced taxi driver recently, he said his last two vehicles have been low mileage Skoda Octavia's...around the 10K mark ,he swore by them .

 

Also, sign up for the free trial via a cashback site such as Quidco and they'll pay you to do it (currently £2 for Experian and £5 for Equifax), just make sure you cancel before the end of the trial.

 

I seem to remember reading an article online somewhere that there are quite a few companies who will pay you a pot of money if you have their company advertising on the car paintwork.. If you could get a good deal maybe soften the initial outlay?
