it might well catch fire ... but the band of brothers I gave 30+ years to will sort

it out for me....they are called the British Armed Forces... we have picked up the ***** when the work shy bastads like the firemen, the bin men etc have sold us short... and yes I have manned Green Goddess... and yes I also had to pick up the **** the bin men refused to do... and oh also YES I was in The Falklands and Afghanistan... my pension from the forces is not near to the 19k these buggers get, and the lads of the armed forces have to face on percentage easily as much danger as that lot.... and take a look at the amount of the forces who have died in serving their country over the last 10 years.... and then look at the firemens losses...they do not come even close. Also ask how many Christmases , new years , family occasions they have had to spend outside of the country. Again I will call them SELFISH GRABBING BASTADS

Dragon, this forum and specific thread is showing you are in a very small minority.

What doesn't do your argument much good, is the fact that you like to include abuse in your threads.

It doesn't bother me, but if Admin were consistent, you'd be at least warned, if not banned.

You're making yourself look an idiot again.

Why didn't the forces do summat about it? Sent abroad to die and the ones that survive have the only possible reason for being in taken away - a good pension. For Queen and Country.

Your argument should be that they get paid too much (which I'm not commenting on either way.) But to call them grabbing *******s for putting up a fight when the government tries to renege on previous contractual arrangements is a bit silly.

maybe you may like to send an E-Mail to trooper Rigsby's family

and put your views to them... I am sure his parents and his widow may concur with a lot of your views. Have a nice night.

Get the ordinary folk blaming each other to distract from where the real problems are.

Why use Lee Rigby's name in this way? Nothing to do with firefighter's strike at all- maybe you should e-mail them and apologise for cheapening his memory to win an internet argument

A lot of firemen do second jobs as well like taxi driving, they're not doing too bad and it's a very sought after career.

So basically the only valid form of public service is the one you chose and the armed forces should held in higher esteem than other public servants, and because you believe someone is getting something you're not then **** em?

Is that your fact of the day? 'A higher proportion of firefighters have second jobs as taxi drivers than other professions'. I'd love to see you evidence that

Don't be daft, millionaires don't pay taxes, they pay millionaire accountants to find legal ways of not doing so

£460k this tax year in tax and national insurance. I'd better tell the average premier league footballer or investment banker that they don't exist.
