Don't think they've had one at Locke Park for a couple of years now Helen. They certainly didn't last year iirc. I also haven't seen any signs this year either

Five days after Bonfire night and every evening since at least up to 10'pm there are
some selfish people letting fireworks off. Our little dog is absolutely traumatised.
Been on line looking for possible kit that can help.

One product I've seen is described as a Thundershirt. Apparently applies a swaddling
type pressure that provides comfort during times of stress. The other is a White Noise
Machine that is designed to provide background sounds to soothe babies, adults and
    it's claimed pets.

Any one had any experience of using these products and if so, how effective, they
found them.? I've got to admit that looking at the background detail on Amazon, I'm
a tad cynical about the shirt, but as far as babies are concerned, can see some merits
in the white noise player, but don't know if it would be helpful for our canine friends

A guy in Worsbro has posted on facebook that some pondlife has slit his horse's ear, tied a firework to it and set it off.

George isn't bothered by them. Sleeps through. Although when I took him out Saturday night on the front lawn to view a few from afar he heard a loud bang and turned in towards me to shield himself. He was startled but didn't cry. I took him back inside but he was unusually quiet and went to sleep on Laura's chest. I reckon it must have been the fireworks.
