I've no idea on whether our prices are expensive / cheap & luckily for me I'm able to attend virtually every game so I've got a season but......

    I detest this category A* - D nonsense. It's horrible & needs banning.

Take Newcastle for example, one of the poorest area's of the country & miles away from any other clubs, so you're talking low income plus high travel costs & then on top of that like clubs like ours will rip off their fans by making it in all likelihood a category a* game.

It'll probably benefit me as a fan as I'll get cheaper away tickets as we aren't a drawer but morally it's wrong.

As far as I'm concerned it should be one price for every league game, none of this ripping fans off & you'll get more going.

People will say 'it's only a couple of clicks away' to find out the prices but a lot of folk don't want the hassle. They just want to know one price that they've to pay on a match day

Haha! I do enjoy seeing people tell other people that they could afford something or tell them someone can sub them £300.

The simple fact is a lot of people can't afford a season ticket & even with the monthly breakdowns/offers, they shy away from a £350 product. They're still Barnsley fans, they want to come to a couple of games but they'll be picked & chosen. Such bad publicity will just turn them off completely. I hope the club change their mind, get shut of the A* game and call the max £30. It's still a lot but it's an understandable price for a one off. £38 stinks of opportunism & a lack of regard for a casual fan.

    This entirely.

Most businesses do market research to validate their prices - talk to customers, focus groups etc. Football clubs obviously don't. And even if they did, I reckon they wouldn't give a ****.

second that not sure about 38 quid but ill pay the rest, support the club or find another team, the success we have had in the last 6 months of last season on a budget, so time to invest for the future

Bang on. The talk of the town will be 'it's £38 to go to Oakwell this season'.

    Ticket prices, club shop .....

It all sounds to me like the board moaners clearing their throats for the new season.
