Re: Mmmmm If memory serves me right then day after Boxing Day 1966 drew 1-1 after drawing 1-1 at home on Boxing Day.
Re: Mmmmm My first one was also away at Rotherham (late August, early September) at the beginning of the 1968/69 season. It was a 0-0 draw, but I can remember being shocked that Barnsley had to change their kit to all white, as Rotherham played in red. My late Father patiently explained to me the reasons why, but I was still disgusted Barnsley were the ones who had had to change. How very dare they???
Re: Mmmmm Sheffield Wednesday 1991. They'd just beaten Man Utd to win Rumbelows Cup at Wembley. Can remember 3 of the four goals still in the 3-1 defeat. Great goal by John Harkes!
Re: Mmmmm Stoke city away in the FA cup in the late 80's. 3-3 draw with currie on the score sheet. I remember being in the side terrace and we took about 6,000. Only think I recall in great detail was Martyn Moxon standing just in front of me!

Southend in 1961. Last game I went to with my father who died the following year. We won 2 - 1 with goals from Frank Bartlett and Ken Oliver.
FA Cup 1978 at Rotherham, in the Tivoli end - plenty of Reds fans in there too, made it a lively experience.
Wednesday away in the premier league When Di Canio scored in the last minute, after Redders had equalised with a belting free kick.
Re: Barrow away in the late 60's, won 1-0 Dont get too sentimental about Barrow... I went to the home game against Barrow c. 1970 and because I was a naive little kid I had a Red rosette on my jacket, a red and white hat and one of those hand held noisy cranks that were legal then (cant think what they are called). On the way back to the bus station, being on my own and only about 9 years old I was an easy target... I still remember the shock as the BARNSLEY 'fan' came over to me and took my hat off and pulled the rosette off my chest. What a **** to do that to a little kid... Nobody lifted a finger of course.. Am I bitter?
Re: Barrow away in the late 60's, won 1-0 wonder if he's on this site? that cranky thing is called a football rattle.
Re: Barrow away in the late 60's, won 1-0 Similar thing happened to me in the late 60's at oakwell, went for a **** and someone nicked my red and white scarf (was 8 0r 9)
