Always remember walking in there one night just before chucking art time and there's a bloke, absolutely pissed as a parrot, puke down his shirt, knob art and leaning precariously against the wall over the urinal. "alreight" I says "aye reight nip, tuz some reight birds in ere t'neet - am gunna hev t'tap off ah reckon" he then puke up again on his shoes and, with all the dignity he could muster, straightened his drooled on tie and fell out onto the dance floor. Took me an hour to stop laughing.
RE: Grey Horse, Old Town/Miners Rest Derek Wright was the (strict) landlord in the 70's and 80's. No canoodling in the corner, or you'd be asked to leave!! Quiz night on Tuesdays was good fun. It's gone downhill a bit in recent years. When I'm up North now I go in The Miners Rest.
Its semi naked members of the Italian world cup winning team in their scanties I put Cannavaro into google images and spent several happy hours drooling. Found that one among them Feel free to enjoy.... but better put the hubby/boyfriend/elderly neighbour on alert... there are some seriously enjoyable pix
