I wouldn't want to be perceived as being too negative about it - its a great programme and probably very beneficial for those who are up to it. To give a bit of context, I played 5 a side and did running up into my early 40's, but I'm a good ten years on from there! The warm up stuff was too demanding - I actually pulled my upper leg muscles to the point of having extensive bruising on my right thigh. When I got into the footy I pretty soon felt that, and was buggered! There's good advice on nutrition and wellbeing, but I don't think you'd want to seem a wuss by just turning up for that. So I'd say keep up the good work lads, but me bes make clear its more suitable for 45- rather than 35+ ? And its free, BTW!
I meant with regard to other formats. Indoor training etc. Not having a go, they're doing the best they can with what they've got
But they aren`t though, they used to do it a lot better with less finace, so it proves that it is not the best they can do with what they have !
Did the session change then after the feedback? You can still do boxercise, circuits, speed and agility or football drills etc out doors to break it up.
No it hardly changed at all. We just ran round the car park in the opposite direction. A few football drills, which they could do much more of. I don't want to be overly critical, I'm assuming there's a reason why the club won't allow use of facilities. Dunno..
That's one of the options proposed. Likely to require subs, but something they're considering for the future
Having talked to a mate who I recommended to go on it after going on fit reds misen about a year ago, it seems like its gone down the pan since it got that British Heart foundation money. I can remember being on the course when the lads won that award, they were buzzing as were all the blokes for the lads, such a shame its been ruined
