It's gonna be difficult but not impossibe to avoid relegation. I feel if we can just get that first win others will come soon after that. But our next match against Stoke could be the starting point for a good run after the internatonal break. Time will tell but the supporters and the team have to stay positive. Can't knock the lads for effort .
Yep, that's the thing. You can't knock them. They give their all every week. Some of them played out of position just to make things that bit more difficult. As much as I'm angry with the owners for giving us such an uphill battle, the lads are in games for the most part. The margins are narrow despite the money spent by some clubs, but just wide enough in most games, but having said that, paying the wages doesn't always guarantee success, as Boro and Stoke are currently finding. It's a massive task to stay up by staying on this course, and it could be a season that we reflect on a relegation having not played too badly, but not been quite good enough in enough games.
If I remember correctly not that long ago were 3rd from bottom at xmas then Lee Johnson got the sack ....five months later we had won the Johnson paint trophy had a trip to Wembley and got promoted.
We've so far played 9 of the current top 10, so it can be argued that the players have had a tougher baptism than normal. The next 6 games are against the current 24th, 16th, 22nd, 11th, 14th and 19th. Three of them are at home. If we can't get a couple of wins against these we are toast.
It can also be argued the reason they are in the top ten is because they have had the chance to play us.
