Mansford strongly suggested 'a couple of new faces by the Bordeaux game'

    Nice one.

Going to NYS too so hopefully they might feature then.

    Re: Flicker: Asses Recuitment

Enjoyed it, was all very positive and it's hard not to get excited with what was said, Mansford is looking firmly up the table and seemed to imply that, financially, the playing field is much more level although did say that our direct competitors (in terms of budget) were Wednesday, Doncaster, Blackpool etc so reading between the lines finishing above that lot would be a success for us but it also could mean that the players we are interested in will also be interesting those clubs as well.

The fact that he said, quite confidently, that we should have some new signings for Thursday's game suggest that these signings are more or less tied up and that they had been working on recruitment all day with more work to be done after tonight's Q&A.

It was being recorded so expect much of it to be on Barnsley Player within the next few days.

I've tried to tidy up the spelling and grammar (Mr C!). It was hard trying to keep up and also get it all to make sense.

I have to say it was a very impressive forum from the entire team. Flicker, Micky Mellon and Martin Scot seem a well balanced, tight team who know exactly what they want from the players and fans (get behind the players and support them!) They know how they want to take the club forward. They are soooo positive! Equally impressive was Ben Mansford! He spoke with great vision, passion and direction as well a being realistic at times. (We can't change everything over night!) Mark did a great job of running the forum, trying to give everyone the opportunity to get a question in.
It was all really, posititive. I probably haven't done that justice in what I have posted but each and every reply was greeted by hearty applause and even an ooh at one point! (Talk of the quality of players coming in) I would say everyone went away more excited about the coming season!
    Exciting times!

Thanks Gally, I was there tonight but it was nice to read the transcript back again, it went so fast!

Where abouts were you sat, there was a fella about 5/7 rows from front on the right facing the team. Had his hand up for a question towards the end but didnt get asked. On a laptop. That you fella?

Spoke to Ben In the lift just before it started, he said he was hoping to announce a singing tonight but it looked like it would be the end of the week. Said be had been working on it all day.

    Nice one Gally.

First of all everyone will make mistakes when spelling.

Second, did it ease your annoyance over them not telling or involving the BFC trust like in previous years?

I think there may have been some communication issues on both sides with regards my previous comments and I probably shouldn't have opened my mouth on here. That wasn't very constructive. It was just a bit of frustration! Hopefully, we can put that behind us and we can make more progress on that front. Today's forum was a fantastic way for the club to connect with the fans, something that I can only be happy about! You should get your name down for the next one!

    Might do.
When things change it comes as a surprise.

You'll have been to a few of these and will have seen the usual BS what people say and you seem quite positive which is good Gally.

I said last week i overheard Ben Mansford talking to his friends and he seemed to know a lot about Football off the pitch.
