Ive voted NO for now, But If we don't beat Birmingham hell be sacked anyway, unfortuanately, would like the guy to succeed but we are where we are & somethings gotta change if we dont win next week.
Inept. Dawson substitution instead of Cywka, conceding the inevitable goal, after another negative display, playing too deep, playing a forward as a lone striker who is clearly not cut out for that role, playing Mellis out wide again…... Thank you for last season.
I still can't see why flicker hasn't gone back to how we was playing last season under him, instead we are playing negative and poorly most of the time. I would still give him time , but if he doesn't learn and change tactics , then I think we will either have Wilson / hassel or hignett / hassel combination . Flicker needs to reinvigorate and re energise himself using his words
We were in a much worse position when he took over and he managed to turn it round then, even with all the clubs around us winning. Don't you think he deserves the chance to try and do it again? If there is no sign of improvement like last season then fair enough. I think he deserves until Christmas at least, we're not too far off getting it right, that was our first loss for a while. You never know, some support might even help him turn it around.
65% say sack him. Not overwhelming. But of the 35% saying stick with him, I've not seen many of them posting their reasons why. Seems 95% of posts yesterday were wanting him out, so I'm assuming those who want him given more time are just keeping quiet.
I'd stick. My reasons are these. (1) were only 2 or 3 places off where I thought we'd realistically finish (2) I like the blowk (3) apart from yday we'd started to 'pick up' a bit (4) ........... there isn't a 4, apart from I can't see another candidate IMO that would (a) come to us and (b) impove us (5) he's still learning and I think/hope he'll come good (6) last season?!?
(1) I expected us to realistically finish between 16th and 20th. (2) I think it's irrelevant whether he's likeable or not. (3) Along with yesterday, I don't believe we'd started to pick up. We've just played teams of a similarly **** standard, and not won one, despite apparently deserving to. (4) I think there's always a better candidate, as our recent history suggests. (5) Nothing I'm seeing this season tells me he's learning. He seems to be forgetting what brought him success last season, though. (6) Last season exactly. He's done his best to get away from everything about that. Personnel, squad size, tactics, system. Changed the lot.
Only 96 have voted , so although it's 65%, we still have 7000 season ticket holders and another 15000 or so who support barnsley
Cheers , I would still give him time to turn it round , and as for alternative managers I reckon bobby will be involved in some capacity
Bobby said at his dinner thing last weekend that he would love to one day be BFC manager. By the way, I'm back, I've asked all 30,000 fans who went to Wembley and 63% of 8,500 say make a change. 21,500 say they don't care because they're busy watching Man City/Man Utd on Sky this afternoon.
Reading the overreaction on this board after every defeat gets a bit tiresome, I tend to stay away. I imagine others do to. The lack of balanced views allows everyone else work themselves up into a furore.
Disagree, he's had long enough to change his tactics, get shut now whilst we have a chance of survival
Nope. The likes of Jay, BigLil etc, who have been big defenders of Flitcroft lately have shared their very balanced views, and both seem to be edging towards the 'dark side' with us reactionary types.
