Will the applause be announced prior to the game and then again at half time so everyone in the ground is aware of it and its purpose?

No PA man says he can't announce it, he's guided by club as to what he says

Hope the flags could be concentrated in one section of the ground - would make a fab tribute and picture. Only wish I could be there.

My next door neighbour doesn't read this board and doesn't even like football but she reminded me to clap so word is spreading.

It's a shame the club aren't as customer friendly as they used to be. When my partner died, which was in 2000, the club were excellent. The club Chaplin got involved and he did a small service for us when we scattered the ashes around the pitch. We had a plaque put up on the East Stand concourse and were told we could go there whenever we wanted. The club also gave us David Watsons shirt signed by all the team and a ball which we put in his coffin.

A lot of difference to how things are today, when I was fund raising for my friends little girl who has a brain tumour I had to pay for a shirt signing.

I really hope today goes well you as your Dad deserves something back from the club that he loved and loyally supported for all those years.
