Haha this reminds me of my A level Geography project which was entitled: “The Sphere of Influence of Barnsley Football Club” This was back in 1986/7 without the www to get your data from. So I sat in the BFC ticket office mapping every postcode of every ST holder, and drawing lines on maps to show how far people travelled. It was a masterpiece!! Basically had a hypothesis that the sphere of influence is determined by proximity to ground, and other clubs, using “Break point theory”. Obviously back then there were many other factors - main one being the Miners Strike.
