RE: I'd give up now if I was you. I do get stuff, but get in the way of people like you because i don't just nod and agree. If i disagree with something i will say so as is my right. I certainly 'get' what type of person you are
RE: You beat me though! Don't you mean that you're bored because you are asked questions that you don't like and cannot answer - Still waiting for the IQ test link. If there is one i would be really interested to look at it. Don't recall anyone posting that they are bored. - Cue a post from Blackadder saying he his bored. You shouldn't post if you do not want any questions in response
RE: You beat me though! Here were the average IQ scores (aged 10) of voters in the 2001 general election:
Green - 108.3 Liberal Democrat - 108.2 Conservative - 103.7 Labour - 103 Plaid Cymru - 102.5 Scottish National Party - 102.2 UKIP - 101.1 BNP - 98.4

RE: To be honest No I didn't say that. Read it again. The IQ research was mentioned by me on here a couple of weeks ago and *Windy helped me out by posting the full list. Took IQ's measured in a group of children some time ago and matched it with voting. Can't remember exactly where I found it but it was probably from the BBC website.
You've never proved anything on this board except what a a) nice man you are OR b) knob head you are Choose which you feel is most appropriate, all for freedom of choice i am. I think i'll go for............
RE: To be honest How does a childs IQ test have anything to do with an adults vote? It makes no sense. I did not see the thread you are referring to. So the comment that insinuated that BNP members are of a low IQ is not valid as there is no proof as members who vote have not had an IQ test.
RE: You beat me though! Aged 10!!!! That proves nothing about the people who now vote for BNP as their political opinions may have changed. Political opinions are allowed to change
RE: To be honest I don't know whether you are arguing about this cos you are a bnp supporter or what. Base IQ levels taken in chidren are probably a better measure of inate ability than ones taken later in life. The research linked this with voting preference in some way. This means that it has a fair degree of validity in research terms. I agree that IQ levels aren't always an accurate measure of intelligence. That's why I said that they appeared to have it right on this occasion as it confirmed my view.
RE: You beat me though! The info on the research is posted now but you obviously are struggling to understand it .....and I'm not being abusive - it's just that you keep saying things that ignore the research findings. The tests were done when the people were ten and then linked (years later) to when they voted. That study shows a link between childhood IQ and later voting patterns. BNP voters had lower average IQs. Notice you chose to ignore my stuff about the BNP manifesto! Have you read it?
i'd argue that alot of people who have spouted of, the 'outraged of tunbridge wells' brigade, are generally the same people who are often heard to damn immigration etc..etc... i hold no prejudice, welcome all (except aussies) but believe its wrong to deny or attempt to shame people who are followers of a political party, however questionable.. it would be fascisistic to do so...blah blah blah.
RE: To be honest I am arguing this case because i felt that some of the posts and comments they contained were wrong and stereotypical. e.g. Dreamboy about what someone told him about the bloke down the road who votes BNP "i was shocked as he's a really nice bloke". Was he supposed to be a monster because his political allegiance is with the BNP? To suggest that an IQ test taken at the age of 10 has any influence is lunacy to me. It's also given the public what the media want - that all BNP voters are of low intelligence. That maybe the case with some voters, as with all parties, but as we have seen from todays press that is not the case if you look at the careers of some.
RE: To be honest Obviously not all BNP voters or members will have a low IQ. They are all nasty though.
RE: You beat me though! I am not struggling to understand the research, so do not be so presumptuous. I have stated my opinion on the IQ poll and stand by it. The media would go to any lengths to prove that all BNP voters are neanderthals, as they wouldn't want a floating voter to pick them. Many floating voters temporarily turned to the BNP because of the immigration issues. I think that the amount of votes the BNP got shocked and scared the main 2 so full steam ahead with a smear campaign. I didn't purposely ignore your views what you wrote about the manifesto i just didn't want to start on another issue as i didn't agree with what you put. I didn't want to add even more as what we are debating now is enough for me to answer, even though it was me who brough up the manifesto. I just wanted to know if you had read it all, a simple yes or no.
