    And all from midfield

At a time when tackling from behind was legal and commonplace.

Not a patch on the likes of Alex Neil, Mitch Ward, Paul Walker, Graham Collingwood, Gary Jones for example. :D

Yeah, but they ran around a lot

Apparently that makes someone a really good footballer. Not ability, not skill, just run a lot.

I saw him play and he was quality but Redfearn is just as much a legend. Both had a massive impact at the club, you could argue Redders even more than Glavin because he was a major part in getting us in to the top division. Redfearn did everything on the pitch including scoring goals. I reckon Glavin is the best attacking player we have had but Redfearn is the best all round footballer. What a team it would be with both of them in the side.

However, I don't think Ronnie was the last true legend

Neil Redfearn is quite an obvious choice. I'd also suggest special mention should be made to the likes of Paul Futcher, Gerry Taggart & John Hendrie.

I really do admire Oddjob, you are correct sir !!

I think he looks really smart walking round Meadowhell, he looks really smart running on to the pitch at Oakwell, its his footballing ability I have trouble admiring

I mean Wilson signed nobody and Davey has had to sign bloody hundereds

that shows how good he is.
wilson had it easy, he only signed a couple of foreigners, its a lot harder to sign players from all over the Galaxy like Davey has done.

Wilson, pah! even Steve Parkin could have got that team promoted.

Its a lot harder now , hope you realize that, I mean teams like Wolves etc. they were not throwing money about willy nilly in them days. Oh No .
