Anybody seen Michael Fabricant defending Boris`s actions on sky news today ? Made me sick to the stomach.

 

Someone who is not a lying, lazy, incompetent, narcissistic, psychopath bent on dragging down the whole country to fulfil some Churchillian fantasy that he is the saviour of the country. Fair few options I'd have said.

However if you admire a strong leader, spouting three word meaningless slogans, who fulfils all your wet dreams about British Greatness he's your man.

As he obviously is in your case.

I am probably politically neutral. As I said, in any other times Boris would be gone. But in the present situation who else is there? Your answers are short of names. And that is the point and the reason we have Boris - who else is there?

 

Poya Asbaghi and Markus Schopp as a coalition could do a better job.

My 18 month old nephew could do a better job.

Katie Price could do a better job.

 

If only they could get the support of either political party - you might be right.

 

Who admitted in 4 different interviews that the party happened and police were in the vicinity so knew about it.

What you have to remember about human nature is that to admit you were wrong for some is impossible. The commandant at Auschwitz wrote a biography while awaiting his death sentence, the only thing he said that he regretted was spending too much time on his duties and not enough with his wife and kids… you just can’t get to some people.

 

I don’t remember that. As far as I know ST has always been I don’t agree and think the rules are daft but I will stick to them. Could be remembering wrong.

 

I like the logic
In a political vacuum created by a decade or more of lies, that dumped our country in the greatest self inflicted wound that any civilised country has ever found itself in. The best way out of that terrible mess is to follow one of its leading architects.
A man who genuinely believed we were better served within the EU but took tens of thousands of ££s in salary for making up lies about the EU, who has no idea how to solve any problem other than by lying his way out of it.

But it’s not his fault though is it. He started and finished the Brexit shitshow, but let’s not hold him responsible, let’s blame Labour because once Brexit destroyed them as a meaningful cause, they couldn’t react quickly enough to perform the miracle required to both support Brexit for the 40% of their supporters that’s make happy, and support Remain for the other 60%.

 

He'll be honest enough to remember what he said. Whether he did it or not may be different.

 

The fact that he's got a 23000+ parliamentary majority makes me sick to the stomach.

There are still quite a few people who like Johnson (he's not Boris, he's Johnson). The Guardian interviewed people in Barnsley and one said he was doing a 'superb' job. Opinion polls still show he has support amongst the public generally too. He's a poor man's Trump. No matter what he does there will be some who will lap him up and vote for him. Unbelievable to me but its true. The man is a complete charlatan and literally lies about anything yet some people still respect him enough to vote for him. The current situation says as much about the stupidity of some members of the public as it does about Johnson himself. As to the Tories generally, yet again we see them show total disregard for anybody else thus revealing their true colours (I think Jimmy Viz made the same point) but, yet again some people will think they are the fittest, most competent people to run the country. If you vote for people like this and get shat on you deserve to get shat on. ( sorry for the rudish bit at the end)
