This is a public forum that allows the fans to air their views. Fan A thinks Davey is doing a good job, fan B thinks Davey is a terrible manager. Both are entitled to voice their opinions, neither should be personally abused for having a different point of view. Debate yes, constructive criticism yes, snide vilification no.

 

So people on here

Can express views in the positrive and negative )some very personal about Davey). but cannot express opinions about each other. Nothinjg I said was personal only that in my opinion some submitters on here express the same old views most time we lose. you been one of em.

Always been a Davey fan, but even this crap is pulling on my loyalties, i don't think this season he has got a clue with the players he has and the formation he is playing. Four defeats out of five is relegation form. I,m begining to worry now that we will struggle more than last season, and if anybody comes on this board and says don't panic it will turn out all right, i will get fecking mad. (N)

Or at Coventry last season? If he did shield the players from criticism, ala Wembley, every week then he would receive respect. What he said after the Cardiff game was absolutely spot on , "We win as a team and we lose at a team". He should follow that through on every occasion.
As for his team selection, I wouldn't have brought in the likes of Moore, Rigters & Teale during the transfer window, but I would've signed another Championship standard striker, defensive midfielder, left footed left back and left sided midfielder. I don't know whether Davey tried to do something similar or not. Just because Simon Davey didn't sign them doesn't mean that there weren't any available, nor that they wouldn't come. Patrick Cryne said significant funds were available to Davey this summer. I will put it in writing that I believe him and I think he was telling the truth.

 

No you are not

You aren't putting forward an opinion, you are merely ridiculing and having a go at anyone who says anything against davey. If you want your 'opinion' to be taken seriously then you should say what you think about the situation instead of attacking other members

 

Wrong

I gave my full backing to Davey in the summer, as he claimed he'd highlighted the areas in the team that required strengthening and I believed he'd do so. In my opinion, he failed. Never have I resorted to personal abuse towards Simon Davey by name calling, nor do I do so against other posters who's opinions differ from mine. For me to criticise any Barnsley manager or player is rare, in fact I'm usually labelled an optimistic happy clapper. However, as I am unhappy at what I'm seeing I reserve the right to voice my opinion, hopefully in a constructive way if possible. I've been going down to Oakwell for forty years and a season ticket holder for thirty nine, so I've seen the good times and bad and means that I'm not one who resorts to knee jerk reactions.

I'd be far more reassured by a manager that looked at the league table, and the results we've been getting and just came out and said 'It's not right. We have to put it right. There needs to be changes, and there will be changes. If I don't make the right changes, it's my fault.'. Like every other fan, I don't like being lied to. Wolves are battering teams week in week out. We aren't. He's coming across as delusional. We ought to ditch him now while we still have a mathematical opportunity to stay in this division.

 

I went to the game today

And the only winners were going to be Blackpool. Two shots cleared off the line and we didn't have a decent shot in the second half and he says we were the only one's in it? If he thinks that it's worrying.

We shaded the 1st half but were woefull in the second.

All in all, crap game, two very poor sides but the only player to show any quality (Kabba) got the goal. Why couldn't we get him?

I think the players have a terrible attitude problem playing away from home. They just bottle it time and time again.
