    Sick of Davey's excuses!!!!!
    Yes we probably should have a penalty and the ref was crap again!!!! But this current side cannot score enough goals to avoid another relegation threatened season.
    Goals win games and our problem has been a lack of them and the personel up front to score enough of them. He had a chance this summer to rectify this problem but all we have inherited is an unproven injury prone striker from Blackburn when what we required was a PROVEN goalscorer.
    Fair Do's to Davey going for Phillips but once that fell thru we didn't seem to have a backup plan! I believe Davey thought that the Phillips deal was cut and dried.
    Yes proven strikers cost money but i have to say that the 1.2 mill spent on Hulme is an awful lot of money for someone who isn't an out and out striker!

    Personally I think the penalty decison was spot on - no way was it a penalty - there was no decision to make - the ball fell out of the sky on to his hand when he was trying to head it and missed - how that can be construed as deliberate is beyond me. For Davey to use this as an excuse is a non starter.

    I agree with you entirely about the penalty, however theres no consistency the law is deliberate handball but how many pens in the premiership are given when it was clearly not deliberate, loads and loads. Thats why i thought it should be given, would have been interesting if the same incident had happened in our box.
