I'm a little lost. Are you saying we need Woodrow because he can play instead of Morris alongside one of the others? Because that hasn't worked at all all season. Or are you saying Woodrow AND Morris which didn't exactly get Woodrow !any goals last season and if we are playing Morris then surely the second half yesterday showed that Morris and a n other worked well anyway. Personally I absolutely hope that Woodrow's time out of the squad has allowed him to reset and that he comes back much better. I just think using a game where we had two strikers get on the score sheet and banged in 5 in total as proof that we need Woodrow is a bit odd.
Not sure why you are lost, Woodrow & Morris are our best strikers & to get the best out of them i would like to see them as a pair , if you cannot see the point that I am making that we showed nothing until Morris came on yesterday up front, we had scored 2 goals which was great but they were from defenders , we offered nothing with Cole & Victor playing together , I am saying we do not want to lose Woodrow because also like Morris he is Championship class & you need that kind of quality & incidentally regarding last season Woodrow was our top goal scorer .
What a sad statistic. Morris with one in two in this team of ******* jokers is nothing short of astounding.
You can make of stats what you like but there is no way you can balance them equally, a lot of goals come late in games & impact subs usually have a decent return especially when they come on for 20 minutes here & there against tired defenders , those of you with decent memories will remember Fairclough for Liverpool who was nicknamed super sub, he used to come off the bench regularly & bang the goals in & stats would be very favourable for him regarding goals per minutes on the pitch but he was never in the same class as Rush & Dalgleish .
That's a good point except prior to yesterday only two goals between all of them had come from subs. The rest were all from starting. Even yesterday's two goals from Morris were as sub but he played 55 minutes. All of iseka's goals came from starts. Are we allowed to compare his with Woodrow's?
He doesn’t try to get involved though. If it’s not to feet he’s not interested. There’s no reason he can’t make the runs others make as he’s quick enough but he doesn’t want to do it. Players were looking up for options all the time & he’s happy to just stand by the defender & let someone else show for the ball.
He's done the hard working style in other games though and usually whenever he has he's been dragged off and dropped. Could it be that he's being told to play this way which looks lazy? He played that way yesterday and bizarrely was given 120 minutes.
do you watch the game, lad was trying to run off defenders shoulder all game and never got found once
I am not aware of the stats as much as you are because basically there is only stat what counts & that is the result, your memory must be better than mine because I was certain that Iseka came off the bench against Sheffield Utd as did Cole to score but I could be wrong , regarding Morris he did play 55 minutes but 30 of those were extra time which were against league two players who had played 80 minutes with 10 men, but there is no doubt about it we won the game because of his quality & the only other striker at the club with similar quality & in my opinion is Woodrow who we need to stay that is in my opinion you obviously disagree .
If he goes it will be a miss if he stays he needs to up his game from what its been from the majority of the season. But the midfield definatly needs strengthening if we are to have any chance of staying up people knock cole yesterday but he was feeding off nothing some of those crosses from williams and britain are probably still rising now.
I didn’t see that. I saw others making runs in behind especially Vita & I was shouting for Cole to make runs but he didn’t seem interested. We’ll have to disagree
It’s pretty obvious that anyone who doesn’t think Woodrow is one of the best two strikers at the club knows pretty much nothing about football. How many Championship clubs are lined up for Cole I wonder. I’m guessing none.
