For the Davey knockers

There are 3 types of fans

1) The ones where Davey can do no right

2) The ones where Davey can do no wrong

3) The fans that look at each game, the season as a whole and in the context of where we are as a football club and make comments based on that.

It's the opinion of the people in the 3rd catagory that I respect (and there are many on here).

Davey has done some great things and has certainly imporved the team but he's also screwed up a few times this season. I've screwed up at work a few times and so will everyone on here because we are all human.

The problem for some is that they were so desperate to get shut of Ritchie and pillocked him to such an extent that any hint that his successor might not be the result of a genetic meeting of Bill Shankly, Alf Ramsey and Matt Busby is met with what can only be described as hysterical paranoia.</p>

Davey's learning his trade (as are some of his signings ), as such it falls upon us as fans of the football club to be patient with him and them. </p>

Its easy to be lulled into thinking that the opinions shown on this board represent those of all reds fans when this board is made up of about 1% of supporters. Also some of these buggers are on here when games are in progress.

 

He may have made some decent signings but the fact remains he doesn'y have the know-how to get them playing as an effective team/unit on a regular basis allied to that playing attractive winning football may make myself and other Davey knoockers change my position, but I for one am not holding my breath.

 

If Davey.......

raped a small child in the centre circle during training Jonny Coachman wouldn't criticies him and would just say 'well at least it wasn't head tennis all the time like under Ritchie'

Dunno mate, he's his own man, that's for sure, and his public persona via interviews etc doesn't match with how I've found him to talk to and certainly how some players I've spoken to regard him. Some I spoke to didn't like him but they aren't at the club anymore.....</p>

Some of his tactics/team selections are a bit baffling to me, and that added to the financial backing he's had to now certainly fuels any criticism of him. But he kept us up last year against all odds and we've had a brilliant cup run this year, but ended up with a very disappointing league campaign despite some excellent results. So the team can perform - we just need a more consistent level. If we achieve that next season then it could be promising. If not, then I think it might be time to question whether or not he can take us forward.</p>
