    ........ who follow the reds week in and week out, home and away, and tell him not all Barnsley fans are stupid, and believe what the club tells us, they have **** on the die hard fans so many times over the years in one way or another, so the shambolic way this has been handled comes as no surprise to us

    The Star is hardly a flawless publication. I was sat with Brian in his lounge when he took the call saying it had been rejected cos Bristol City were the club Barnsley wanted to sell him to. He did not want to go to the west country as he has a phobia of combine harvestors.

    If Charlton had seriously tabled a bid in time, In my opinion, he would have seriously condidered going there cos he would be closer to home

    Cheers, sorry about not believing you but I hadn't seen about Bristol City anywhere but here.

    Good luck to him anyway. I just think the club should have transfer-listed him in the summer - it would have been better for everyone.
