Forest fans love the Barnsley away day (not)!

Although what happened to the pits was and still is a fecking disgrace, I'm not sure going down a pit is most young people's idea of a "bright future". Neither me, not any of my mates from Barnsley went down a pit, and we are all doing ok.

don't know what your implying but there was no confirmation of your point, i think you trying to come across super intelligent to the rest of us or summat.

 

it wasn't just the mines though was it
there were engineering firms, catering people, transport, traders, laundry services. mines supply companys the list goes on, and most have now ceased or moved.

 

shutting the pits destroyed barnsley as it did many areas of notts.trouble is those spineless scabby *******s havnt got the balls to admit it.

they chose to follow thatcher and greatrix,two of the most crooked ****s to have been born in the last century..

 

theres plenty that arnt doing ok tho'. who without doubt would have stood a better chance had the pits still been here.

I wish i'd a tenner for everytime the government and the media tried to pin stuff on scargill and failed..
