You have to ask, why there was no chances for them? Their movement was awful and impossible to create for.

A few times our midfield would break forward, and they’d just run forward in a straight line, directly in line with each other. Nobody dropping deep, no diagonal run. Just too easy to defend against. When Palmer got in behind in the first half, Woodrow got himself into a position that meant it was near impossible for Palmer to find him. Something he does pretty regularly when the ball goes wide. Too often Brittain had to just put it in low and hope for the best, and none of the three made a run across the front post.

Impossible to know for sure without knowing what he is seeing in training, but I just hope Schopp isn't cutting his nose to spite his face.

Well Vic came on and the only thing I saw him do was bring the ball down and play it wide to Brittain but cant remember him having another touch but then the service was shocking.

Good job his first touch didn`t bounce off him. Last night he wasn`t terrible and neither was Cole he gave us a bit of pace and wasn`t far off a Brittain cross.

I think they call it ..working in the pockets... these days.
The space in-between their back line and midfield. It's just that we don't se to have mastered the craft yet..

I get what people are saying with regards to "surely they could come on for 20 minutes" but I wonder if he's using leaving them out completely as sort of a motivation to get fit. If they're on the bench and getting 20 minutes anyway, they may not have the desire to

I don't think it's a bad tactic if that is what he's doing. Just speculating of course, but he knows the players better than any of us. If he doesn't think putting them on the bench is the best strategy I don't think it's logical for us to argue against that when we've never met any of the players involved.

If that's the case, they're not going to be much use to us anyway.

I disagree with that. They're people not robots. Man management is important and knowing your players is important.

Fair enough, and all about opinions. But you'd hope the motivation to get fit would be there regardless.

You’d like to hope that they are busting a gut to get fit. Surely that’s what any pro should do as a minimum. Oulare does have a bit of a checkered past though so potentially think we have taken a 50/50 gamble on him. Still don’t fully understand why they haven’t been introduced to the crowd at Oakwell. That’s pretty standard for any new player joining a club that’s not involved in the match day squad? Unless they have and I’ve missed it?
