No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

    RE: I'm Sure If.........

I'm sure you're wrong. Footballers can be (not all, but you only need one or two in the dressing room) the most petty and infantile of individuals and being realisitic and objective is generally not what caused the hyper inflation in the wages market. It's just another lever for their greedy agents to start demanding more.

    Absolute nonsense

    £25k a week and a free house? :D

Robbie Fowler has been offered £9k/week. This does not break the club wage structure and he will be on a par with the highest paid players at the club but not above them. He was concerned about that scenario himself. There are no individual win/goalscoring/clean sheet bonuses at the club either - ALL players get a win bonus IF we are in the top 6. He has, however agreed to a £800k bonus if we get promotion to the Premiership - and that's being paid by one of our sponsors - Redrow Homes.

Basically, he'd get the same money here that Chopra was on and we've still got £5m from the transfer fee!

Only fly in the ointment is that he has only agreed to sign and hasn't actually signed yet.

And another thing - it's a 1 year contract with CCFC having the option of the second year.

Not renowned for their journalistic accuracy or excellence but this has been mentioned by various scources:

I bet Redrow are keeping their fingers crossed

that you stay down then. Jesus - £800,000, that'd dent anyone's promotional budget.

Still I expect they have it covered by Ladbrokes insurance - a £1,000 stake ought to cover it!! :D

RE: I bet Redrow are keeping their fingers crossed

I'm surprised that someone has come in to sponsor this bonus payment to be honest.

At the end of the day if you are lucky enough to get promoted then the riches on offer in the Premiership would make the bonus insignificant anyway.

Don't think Redrow would be too disappointed to see their name splashed around the Premiership either - it's not at the moment is it?

Where in Cardiff do you live, Bluebird?

Welsh Mrs Fuego & I are often down visiting friends/propping up the bar in the Prince of Wales/Kiwis/eating in Charlestons at 2 in the morning.

We get down for 4-5 weekends a year on average.

    Am I being groomed here?

    Kiwis eh?

I'm a valley boy mate, although that's probably about to change. Cardiff's not a bad place to visit/live is it - and you must be pretty familiar with it.

Nice to see your trying to improve your gene pool with the Welsh Mrs btw :D

    :D

Not my valley mate, we tend to prefer the bright lights of the big city, Bridgend is a once a year job. It's only a poor-man's Pontypridd anyway (neer)

And Bridgend has enough problems of it's own without trying to blame the valleys for it.
