Said in his interview he's not fit yet. If he were fitter he wouldn't have mistimed his challenges. When he's had a few games you'll see the best of him, he had plenty of fire in him.
Honestly thought the Ref was a joke yesterday. Lost it a few times with him. He gave the first for persistent fouling, they weren't even fouling and that was never a foul he gave the first for. With him giving that joke of a yellow card then he could have just had a word with Frimpong. Watching him play i was impressed. Really strong guy but the refs got to realise that because he will out strength the other player8/10 times it's not a foul.
I tend to agree with e-red and I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. From what I saw he was putting himself about and trying but the tackles did look like they were mis-timed which is to be expected as he hasn't played this season. For the 2nd yellow he did seem to get his right foot on the ball but you can't come in from behind like he did. I actually thought it was similar to the (Tottenhams) Danny Rose sending off in mid-week and guess who the ref was? Unfortunately we can't appeal a yellow card.
Should be fined 2 weeks wages IMO, stupid and ridiculous challenge for 2nd booking. My Arsenal supporting mate said he'll get more red cards then yellows, that tells ya somet.
He let the club, Danny Wilson, the fans and his team mates down big time. If Bobby had done that yesterday you'd have gone into meltdown. I hope he learns from this.
Lets not compare his tackles to Hassells Mario. Frimpong did little wrong, hassell either misses or looks like it's a red. The ref was shocking, seen them back today and it wasn't even a foul for is first imo
Not seen Frimpong as I wasn't there yesterday, but simply don't understand your comment about Hassell.
Not joking at all. I cringe everytime he goes to ground. The last tackle i remember was against Derby and he totally missed the man. Luckly Dawson was playing his game and Hassels and managed to get the ball and made a run towards there box.
Mario nailed it, Phil. Had Hassell been the one making those challenges yesterday and been sent off, you'd have been ejaculating all night about it on here. Thing is, Bobby wouldn't have been so foolish. Frimpong has a lot to learn. Less than 30 games as a professional, says it all.
I don't know where to start. One thing is for certain Phil and that is that Bobby has been a hero at Swillsbro whereas Frimprom was undoubtedly a villain yesterday.
so you think that was worse that than tackle against Bristol? If you went Whitey you would know that the ref was blowing up for nothing all game
I'd ignore him, pal. He's getting close to another spell in room 101. He never learns. Let's hope Frimpong does.
I saw the game, thanks. And I'll be updating my blog this afternoon. No point me going over things on here as well as on the blog. So why not wait until you've read my thoughts before second guessing them? As for Bobby, and your incessant baiting, I'm going to ignore it. You're only making yourself look idiotic and I can see now why you were banned last time. You turn any thread into a Hassell/Steele thread. It's sad, and ruins your other opinions which 'can' be very interesting to read. I've met you now, you seem a good lad, so I don't for the life of me know why you choose to be a WUM on here. But, it's not for me to tell you what to do.
He deserved to be sent off. The first he maybe could have just been spoken to, but once on a yellow that 2nd yellow was just a ridiculous tackle to make, some refs may have given a straight red for that alone, scissor tackle straight through the back of their man. Needed Bobby in there to have a word. Let's not write him off though, remember Jennings' debut, turned out alright for him.
I didn't bring him up in this thread, someone else did. Steele was flapping at crosses yesterday like a girl. On Steele theres a lot more vocal than me about him.
