Yes that exactly what Mr Shepherd was saying. The whole thing was a financial mess. They've had to assess the whole situation. How long did it take the Rhoboson Rhodes team to do that at the end of Dennis's reign? A football club is a complex business. There've been a few other people in charge since RR were there.</p>

The financial reports will be pubslished soon so you will be able to appreciate the mess that they have had to deal with. GS was explaining that they now have plans to make sure that the club becomes cash neutral from next year. </p>

It's all about prioritising. I think there have been positive comments on here posted on the improvements that GS has brought in including the season tickets, new ticketing system, new programme and early days yet but things are looking better on the pitch too.</p>

I think the magnitude of the problems at the club means that things take time. GS has only been in charge since the begining of the year. 8 months isn't really long enough to  judge them. They are only just getting started. We need to be helpful and perhaps a bit more positive I think. Offer a solution rather than moaning?</p>

I have, in the past, through the BBS, put forward the idea of bringing back someone who knows his way around this football club as a consultant ( not JD), but, it seems to me, this is not an option that would be welcomed by certain members of the clubs hierarchy.

 

whilst I appreciate the problems that BFC face..

..and the few positive moves made since G.ordons arrival some things are so bloody obvious and easy to solve.

You really are a whinging git. If there was no response you would have said no response how bad is that? They then explain what sounds like a very plausible explanation and have an official statement and you still complain, get a life!!

I have myself sent an email to the club today and got a response straight away, I cant understand that you dont remember where you sent them, if you sent 4 emails the address should be easy enough to remember. You need to send email to joanne@barnsleyfc.co.uk and Im sure you will get a response.

 

I'm not sure about the website...

Contractually the club are tied into the Premium TV framework which to my mind is one of the big problems with the current Barnsley site. I don't think they have the option to try and be more innovative.

Also I beleive they have to post so many news stories per week or month or something which is why we get so many poorer quality stories like the fact that the worse player every to played for us has joined some conference side or similar.

Yes, you're right. They are contracted to a certain amount of items per week which makes it difficult during times when nothing has happened. The start of the new season will soon change that.
