Don't tell me all the BBC organisations are linked Everything operates in isolation. If we give Radio Sheff the elbow it couldn't possibly have a knock on effect elsewhere within the BBC......
Thanks Mr Perfect. Times come along ie last night when I could not go due to work commitments and I cannot afford to go to every away game as much as I'd like to, I still want to know what is going off and at least hear a summary of the match and to say that Dee Dah always got it wrong is just, well, wrong
Strongly disagree with the whole thing myself.........in fairness to Radio Dee Dah!!! A. They have consitantly given us good coverage 6/7+ games a season! B. They give us headlines first!! e.g. transfer news, gossip, interviews..... the club themselves are slow at such announcements especially the website C. Sheff Utd and Sheff Wed have the largest following, thus are the larger audiance so its all about supply and demand!! plus on football heaven they are spoken about more because their fans ring in very few reds fans ring in...... could probably count them on one hand!! Peter, Terry etc D. When we were inthe premiership, we had more commentaries and coverage than any other side in the region!! I guess this is because then we averaged 20k crowds and had a much larger fan base/audiance. And same could be said for Sheff Utd last season when they were in the prem!!! what does Gordon Shepherds stance Achieve? Nothing...... fans lose out as we no longer get commentaries from the BBC! other options include signup to Barnsley World £34.99 (I signed up for trial but could get commentary to work) or listen for those who live locally pick up Oakwell 1575AM (do they cover away matches?) Personally I will miss midweek commenraries the most e.g. Reds vs Plymouth Tuesday night in mid november..... So yes I feel agrieved that we are going to missout as fans!!!
