    looked handy whenever i've seen him, especially when played wide, he is dangerous cutting in

    some confusion on ere, which one is it? Steve Jones is a forward.... Steve Foster is a centre half!

    joined the Clarets on a three year contract in May 2006 on a Bosman after decided to turn down an offer to remain at Crewe.

    He spent five seasons with Crewe after moving from Leigh RMI in a £75,000 deal in the summer of 2001 and he's played over 150 league games for them.

    A pacy forward who has over 20 caps for Northern Ireland, he will be hoping to link up with Andy Gray next season in a new look Burnley attack.

    Scored 2 goals on the opening days last year against QPR!


    Steve Foster - Appearances 231 (+ 27 as sub); Goals 18; Yellow cards 21; Red cards
    signed a two year deal with the Clarets in June 2006 after he looked all set to join newly promoted Barnsley.

    A central defender, he has spent his entire career with Crewe Alexandra and has been a regular in the side since the beginning of the 2001/02 season, playing well over 200 league games for them, mainly at what is now Championship level.

    His contract was at an end and he decided it was time to move on, particularly with Crewe having suffered relegation and that has brought the Warrington born defender to Turf Moor until 2008.

    Only made 9 starts for burnley last year!!!!

    No. I'll only get wound up, and I'm trying to relax. Let's just say that I remain to be convinced that the academy has anything to offer other than free players to Division One and Two clubs. I really don't think that was in its remit.
