In all fairness the club will be doing what they can to ensure that the punishment imposed will be as minimal as possible hence the web statement pics personally i understand why it happened no different to southend last night and no harm was done but you could argue back and forth all day about it, i'll worry if we are servely punished!!
RE: Better not lose points. I doubt if we will lose points for such a trivial matter. In a similar vein i notice that West ham have been reported for the coin throwing incident at Upton park over the weekend - this id the third such incident connected to the Hammers and they still haven't had a deduction in points - as threatened.
No chance l'll be naming any and i'm sure myself like a lot of you on here know some of the people in the photos!! Deal with that little B4stard at Wombwell who's burnt the house down and killed someone and the hoodies that are causing damage and assaulting people in our neighbour hoods, stop wasting Police time on people running onto patches of grass after watching a bag of wind being kicked around. Thank you.
Sad over exuberent fans jump the fence to celebrate with their heroes in a pulsating local derby in which their team had come back from 2-1 down to win 3-2. Hang em all I say, were the players attacked, were the away fans attacked, was the feelings of the grass hurt...the clubs made them out to be mass murderers FFS... totally totally blown out of proportion....if I did know one of those people who ran on the pitch no way would I shop them...do they deserve a 3 year banning order for that...?
I've got to disagree with you there... The players occupy the pitch, the fans occupy the stands - it's that simple. When you run onto the pitch for a goal or whatever is encourages fans to ignor an important boundary - first of all it gets justified for an important goal in an important game, then it's some idiot running onto the field to have a pop at the ref (which we've seen before at Oakwell).
When a crowd runs onto the field there is rarely one person in control and you end up with a public order problem - one football fan runs onto the pitch they think its for the reds, another because he fancies a scrap with a bobby or a steward. You end up with an ugly situation which reflects badly on the team, the club and the fans. There are still people who go to football matches for the wrong reasons.
It's unnecessary and it could cost us points or money. The team put in a great performance, why should a handful of idiots jeopardise that?

RE: Football Association and Barnsley Football Club..............you sad b@stards !!!! "If a few fans can't run onto the field when we have just scored against one of our most fiece rivals who they haven't beaten for many years then it is a massive shame to the game of football" It'll be an even bigger shame if the actions of a "a few fans" were to cost us points or cash that we don't really have. I'm certain that we'll be fined due to the incident at the Huddersfield match during the play offs. I wonder how many people will be defending these cretins if our meagre transfer kitty gets spent paying a fine?
I for one am prepared to sneak them into the ground under mi BIG Coat There's room for about 3 of um under mi BIG coat
RE: Why criticise Barnsley Football Club?..............because they have shown their photographs Yer know, you've got to spell it art to some folk (wicked)
But surely it could be argued that entering the playing area is an act of football hooliganism and therefore would be a criminal act. Taken from http://www.thesportjournal.org/vol1no1/menaces.htm " What can be confusing when describing soccer hooliganism is that the incidents can, and often do, occur some distance from any soccer stadium. The hooliganism label is given to incidents involving soccer team supporters regardless of the location. The types of behavior and actions categorized as soccer hooliganism vary considerably. Soccer hooliganism may involve riots, pitch invasions, the assaulting of players, fighting, vandalism, drunk and disorderly offenses, verbal and physical assaults, the use of weapons, the throwing of missiles, murder and mugging."
No sorry Crystal I was being pedantic, entering the field "without just cause" (or words to that effect) is a criminal offence, therefore one can enter the pitch if it was felt your safety was in jeapordy.
All those saying "emotions were high" and all that crap. If that were the case, why did they not all run on at once rather than one guy start the run, turn to his mates to egg them on, and seem to spend most of their time making sure that their mates in the stands had seen them? Spur of the moment euphoria my f**king arse.
RE: Someone knows who these idiots are ! What is it wi woman an shoppin'? Just hope we don't get any points deducted for this.
