    No sorry.

You said PC made promises when the funds weren't there. That article in no way supports your statement. You've called into question Cryne's integrity with that statement. Can you prove what you said ? No you can't.

    You haven't

You have however said that Davey has had the rug pulled from under his feet and that he has been duped.

    RE: No sorry.

So he didn't 'promise', just put out the suggestion and raised expectations. In reality we wouldn't pay an extra few quid a week to keep Shuker, a player the manager wanted.

    Couldn't or wouldn't?

I think we could easily have paid shuker what he wanted to keep a first team player that the manager wanted. The chairman chose not to.

So what about your original statement ? Are you going to retract it ? Apologise ?</p>

And why are you bringing the issue of Chris Shuker into this ? Totally seperate from your accusation about Mr Cryne's honesty and integrity.</p>

He'd done the same the previous end of season,

yet we still re-signed him. Plus he only took a one year contract the season before as he became 24 just before the contract was up and could move on for free. So the club knew what he was doing for a whole year and were a party to it by agreeing the one year deal.

Yes, and we wouldn't stand for it again.

That's why we withdrew the offer.

Never said funds were never available

quite contrary, I actually think funds were available for signing Kevin Phillips, but it seems they've suddenly disappeared, or as someone else has implied, may have been available had we sold Howard.

So we replaced him with Michael McIndoe, who'd never messed anyone about and never would!

RE: Yes, and we wouldn't stand for it again.

Yeah he did mess us about, but what could we do? Release clauses are part and parcel of modern football, it's just a shame it was a) a low fee, and b) a player with zero loyalty,</p>

Doesn't make one example any better than the other though as they both fecked us over. Difference was, we'd given Shuker a very good chance, he was a regular, and was to play in the championship, but because he messed us about he missed that chance. Serves him right.

    No you didn't.</p>

You were quite happy to call into question Patrick Cryne's integrity. The bloke without whom this Football Club would not exist. A bit of slight backtracking does not cover over your original statement.`</p>
