There's a difference between general comments taising expectations (down to the fans) And your statement : " 'Box Office' signing promised, talk by PC of signing Chopra when there just wasn't the funds put there."
ie Cryne said we wanted to sign Chopra when he knew we wouldn't, which is your inference.
No you're right, loads of funds were there in 2006. * BARNSLEY Manager Andy Ritchie

Ins: Michael McIndoe (Doncaster, undisclosed), Sam Togwell (Crystal Palace, undisc), Michael Coulson (Scarborough).
Outs: Scott Flinders (Crystal Palace, £1m), Chris Shuker (Tranmere), Barry Conlon (Darlington), Stephen McPhail (Cardiff), Matt Carbon & Richard Kell (both rel).

Why are you avoiding the crux of the matter ? Which is that you intimated that Patrick Cryne was misleading us as to the availability of transfer funds. To be more specific, that he had no intention of funding Chopra's transfer.
" 'Box Office' signing promised, talk by PC of signing Chopra when there just wasn't the funds put there. "

RE: Why are you avoiding the crux of the matter ? I never said he had no intention of funding Chopra's transfer, you said that. The post was about how we were seriously underbidding for players. Did we underbid for Chopra, I would think we did.
Now you are just lying. You said
"talk by PC of signing Chopra when there just wasn't the funds put there"
What exactly did you mean if you didn't intend that to suggest that Cryne had no intention of funding the signing of Chopra ?

RE: what does the bottom middle one say? nt It's the ostrich with "Inaction is a weapon of mass destruction." I did it for Acky.
You really are getting confused now. "talk by PC of signing Chopra when there just wasn't the funds put there"
Did we bid for Chopra ? I don't think we did. We may ahve enquired and be informed that the fee was way out of our range. How much of his own money should Cryne have spent ? You are insinuating that Cryne was talking about signing him but by not putting funds there he had no intention of doing so.
Cryne did indeed mention we would be interested in Chopra. However, how can you possibly know that 'there just wasn't the funds put there' ? What did Chopra go for at the time ? It's easy for you to sit there and pass comment and at the same time infer Cryne was misleading the fans.
