If Cardiff do go under I bet you money he'll say (as chairman) it wasn't his responsibility. I bet he'll even be so bold as to trot out the same old rubbush about Leeds being nowt to do with him as well.
Who was it that said about the offside rule, if you are a striker and you aren't interfering with play then you'vegot to question why you're stillon the pitch? Well if you are a chairman and you claim you had nothing to do with a couple of companies you ran going out of business, you've got to question whether you were doing it right, haven't you Mr Ridsdale? ... ah well, maybe not

He'd no need to sign a loan deal not knowing who with mate.
He's a walking disaster area. He got offered a too good to be true deal by the slippiest man in football and swallowed it hook, line and sinker. The bell end.

They can all go into administration for my liking it'll make our job a lot easier and we may even be able to pick up some bargins in the january window if so.
No, not really Was at a funeral yesterday so couldn't reply but no, I'm not that bothered tbh. Imo, and it's only my opinion, it's all just posturing and brinkmanship prior to the court case next week. Trouble is with characters as slimey as Sam and the Riddler you never know exactly where you are. The court case revolves around the money we owe to Langston. The fact we owe this money is not in dispute. We had a signed agreement with them this time last year when the take-over was forced through, the £24m owed to them would be split into a £9m naming rights agreement with them regarding the new stadium and the remaining £16m to be paid by 2016. Apparently, we were intending to repay this within 2-3 years. This agreement is also in the accounts of CCFC and Rudgwick (Sam Hammam company - previous owners of CCFC) which were filed with HM Revenue & Customs. Unless he's saying that he filed false declarations now. They now move the goalposts to include interest (which was never part of the agreement) and generate lurid headlines, claiming breach of contract. The £24m in loan notes given to CCFC by Langston were on unsecured terms so, basically, if CCFC were to go through, Langston would get nothing. It's not in their interests at all, unless Sam is that spiteful and resentful that he's prepared to take a £24m hit as he's the one behind Langston by all accounts. After seeing the money he trousered during his time at CCFC, there's no way he'll part with that type of cash. He lives for it. If it can be proved that SH is involved with Langston, incidentally, Sammy boy could be prosecuted for money laundering. Rudgwick lent City money at an agreed rate (fixed by themselves), this was taken over by the original Langston agreement at rates fixed by themselves again. If a link to Sam can be established, it is just simply transferring money from one pocket of his to another picking up a huge chunk of interest for nothing. Good scam but, unfortunately for Sam, it is illegal and he may spend some time at Her Majestys' pleasure. Sam was gutted when he left because he didn't see the stadium development through and, more significantly, the retail development. This would have made money for him (even though he said it would go to CCFC) hand over fist. It is now going to the property developers on City's board. In fact, these are the only people who could make out of City's demise as they have a secured creditor status from the £6.5 lent to CCFC for the stadium development. Sam is resentful of that as well and is challenging it. The meeting with the lawyers today is just routine prior to the court case. That is what I'm led to believe anyway. Langston have stated that, if they won the case, they wouldn't allow CCFC to go into administration. They want to wrestle control of the club back - the same way it was wrestled from them last year. I've no doubt there'll be more scaremongering from both parties this week in the lead-up to monday. The admin talk comes from the fact that the bank are reluctant to allow normal credit trading while the court case is still pending. If it were to be deferred (for up to 2 years!) - that would be a problem. Then again, we could write off £24m of debt and start again, probably in League 1. Not a bad price to pay methinks. Not a lot us mere fans can do so no point in worrying unduly anyway. Onwards and upwards eh?
RE: Bluebird - if you are reading this A lot of scaremongering as far as I'm concerned, see my post below. Can never tell with "characters" like these two though. Please take McFail. I'll give you £24m in loan notes if you do Joe Ledley, Chris Gunter and Aaron Ramsey are our prize assets and have been subject to many (refused) offers apparently. I expect Ledley to leave in January tbh, we supposedly turned down £3m from Brum in the summer for him and he's got a lot better since. Gunter is 18 and Everton bid £1m for him last week which was turned down. Aaron Ramsey has just turned 16 and Liverpool and Arsenal bid £1m for him in the summer. Take your pick
