Not a chance. S.M spot on. The game has moved on Eric is yesterdays man, and so is Danny for that matter. I think a change is needed, i just hope we can survive and assess the situation in the summer to ensure we make the right appointment.
Agree to a point Leeds Tyke but I don't think we can afford to wait until the summer because by then, this numpty will have got us relegated.
Next big thing Mark Robins.
Gradually building a footballing team with a hard enough spine to get out of the bottom league. Has an eye for a player and is tactically aware.
However, any new manager of Barnsley would have to work with the current board structure.

It was in Redfrean's contract that if we were relegated from the Prem his salary wouldn't drop, or drop as much, if it was agreed that he'd contributed/played well in The Prem - with the offer of £1mill in the air, Dennis and the Board decided he hadn't done so, and promptly sold him.
He only went to Swindon a couple of weeks back Since he left us, he didn't do much at wendy's, got to the league 1 play-ff final 3 times i think, with Bristol City, got promoted from league 2 with Hartlepool, and has done nthing with Oldham and MK Dons i think. He's steadily fallen down the league, like an old footballer, would you bring Michael Boulding back to Oakwell???
RE: board structure im not saying you meant it has a bad thing, it just sounded as though you thought it would be
RE: board structure It stems back to an interview I heard of Simon Davey's earlier this season when he was extolling the good relationship he has with Patrick Cryne. Which is pretty essential let's face it as it's Cryne's money that's being spent. I can't see Rowing or Taylor funding the recent loan signings.
So it seems to me any speculation about Davey's tenure is meaningless cos in my opinion Cryne will stick by him. On the outside chance Simon gets the elbow, then any manager appointed would I imagine have to have as good a relationship with Mr Cryne as Mr Davey appears to have.
All conjecture on my part sithi.

From a personal point of view and in my own opinion I think our board structure is absolutely terrible. oops got ahead of myself there, that was just a worrying rumour wasn't it.
Sorry, all that stuff was introduced 8 years ago when Spackman became manager. Brought in fitness coach Ed Baronowski, don't you remember?
He's in NZ now.
http://au.fourfourtwo.com/news/74697,phoenix-get-an-ed-start.aspx

Yes Jay, but we've moved on from there obviously. The football you witnessed didn't have enough technology behind the scenes for it to be good enough and you're mistaken if you think it was leagues ahead of where we are now.
Aye if we could get all 92 league clubs to sign an agreement that we're all turning the clock back and re-introducing the same level of unprofessionalism into their respective clubs, we'd be alreight to turn that clock back. mind, there's a significant number of people on here still living in the past. there or transported to the World of EA Sports.
