I was surprised that Norwood didn't start today, I think we missed his nous when we were on top in the first half, hopefully he starts on Friday with Cole.
I personally don’t really care for Norwood and Watters, I think we are better with them paired with Tedic and Cole, not even in any particular order, I just prefer a ‘target man’ and a nippier player together.
I'd agree with that although Watters should only be judged after a consistent run in the team which he hasn't had, hard to gauge how things will turn out with him.
He's got ability and I think if he WANTS it he'll have a good career but he has to be judged on the effort he puts in when he plays for us and it's not been enough for me
Max Watters in 2023 is what Ivan Toney was for us in 2016. Thus who knows how his career will pan out. For me, has to be Cole and Norwood on Friday. Our most effective two forwards for a game when we need to score. A repeat of their partnership in the Owls demolition of March would do very nicely.
Your probably right mate but we generally start games more positively than we finish them so it must be a bit harder for strikers that come on later on.
Was really surprised with Norwood when he came on (granted he didn't have long) but when they were pinning us back, he was just dawdling along, not tracking back like his usual self, he's like a shis tzu, ankle biter usually, not today though. I also thought he'd be on sooner, he'd have been well up for it, especially considering it may be his last chance of winning something & potentially playing in the championship for the first time in his career
