I think he is overrated. I said before the tour he wouldn't get in the top ten but luck may be on his side. A lot of my tips are already out or struggling.
Kwiatkowski has got everything you need to win big races, he can sprint fairly well too. As I said Costa, always has at least one really bad day so I cant see him doing it, but if he has his mind right he could get a podium.
They said Stage 2 in to Sheffield wouldn't crown the winner but it might be lost there and Jenkin Road didn't do Contador any favours at all. As you say it was a bad day for him today as well.
I think you were raving about Kwiatowski last year IIRC? He did well in his debut tour. I said Tanel Kangert would get in the top ten and he's nowhere already.
He's got a lot to do in the Pyrenees that's for sure. I can't see him getting 2'38" out of Nibali but you never know.
He did really well last year, his form coming into the Tour is very good too. He is very decent on the Time Trial too, I think he is the Polish Champion. Only 24 and if he can stay with the leaders on the big climbs he has got a great chance of a podium at least .
All doesn't seem to be well in that camp. I don't understand a pro-tour team not doing a ride through before a stage. The AG2R team rode Stage 2 on Friday at a leisurely pace and were rewarded when Kadri got the KOTM Jersey. Jenkin Road really caught Contador by surprise.
You are correct. For some reason I didn't think he was in last years team after missing 2012 to prepare for the Olympics.
Porte's got a decent chance of the podium & should definitely be top 5. If Porte does fail then Thomas, Nieve & Kiriyenka are all capable of challenging for stages & Nieve tried for the K.O.M jersey last year so that could be an idea. I'm a bit gutted Kennaugh isn't there, not sure why he isn't as his form showed he deserved to be there & he's proving it further by leading the Tour of Austria
Good rider Kangert but he was never going to ride for GC. Nibali & Fuglsang 1st & 2nd in command & him & Scarponi as mountain domestiques. Bit of a shame he's not leading the Vuelta team as he was quality in the Giro last year
Kwiatowski had a good go today Mark, no mean feat coming off the front of the train. That Bryan Couquard (stand up guy Ho Ho) looks like one for the future in the sprinting stakes, couldn`t believe Reza his lead out man today on seeing he had left him behind in the sprint he stopped riding when in front haif dozen coming up to the line.
