Man whenever I think of 30 years ago I still think of the 80s smh lmao thank you for correcting me but even so they said the 90s era was poor at the time minus Mike Tyson. I've studied boxing history and they always hate on whatever era is current.
Looking back, Tyson wasn't in a great era really when he was on top. This guy said Joshua and Fury would get nowhere close back then but if people are telling me that Trevor Berbick, Mike Spinks and Frank Bruno etc would dominate today, they must be on meth. Mike Tyson was extremely exciting but extremely overrated also.

You might be right. Depends what money is at stake. Pretty sure if Hearn takes the rematch to Wembley, Tyson will fight there.

Was always going to end up somewhere far flung with the impacts of COVID. Hearn has said he spoke to Wembley but there’s no way they could guarantee 90000 so it was off the table straight away.

Would have preferred them to go for Texas when Wembley was completely ruled out, but money talks and you can't blame them for taking the biggest offer.

Hopefully there's a better atmosphere than AJ v Ruiz as the watching Canelo v Saunders with the crowd was immense. Just like the Cup Final on Saturday. Fans are what make live sport what it is even when you're watching from home.

That's a great point, the disallowed goal in the cup final is a great example of that. The fake crowd noise is better than nothing but it doesn't come close to the drama actual fans add.

Correct. This ruling basically lets Wilder hold everyone to ransom. He'll take a pay off to defer fighting Fury again until after the Joshua fight. Given the magnitude of this bout, he'll likely get his biggest ever payday without even having to climb through the ropes.

He won't take a pay off if a pay off isn't there. Top Rank have just confirmed they've booked 24th July for Fury v Wilder and that AJ v Fury can move to October/November in Saudi.

None of this will have come as a surprise to either camp. Personally don't think Wilder wants anywhere near Fury. Just all part of the hype machine for me. That said I wouldn't be averse to Fury Wilder 3. Everybody in world boxing - Wilder included - knows that Fury is by far the better boxer. Only worry might be Fury getting too complacent after the demolition. That swinging right is the only thing in Wilder's locker. But it's always there. Would the Fury AJ bout still happen if Wilder did manage to spark him out? Dunno. Who knows what clauses get added.

Not so sure. I don't think anyone in boxing thought Wilder had a case and it's surprised everyone that he won it. He didn't want to fight again in 2020 and Fury rightly moved on. It seems the 'defense' has been that Wilder was guaranteed a fight and a purse, a purse that couldn't be paid without a crowd, and so the pandemic has stopped them fighting in 2020 rather than Wilder's lack of appetite for it.

Bob Arum currently making noises that he'll refuse to pay Wilder step aside money. Be interesting to see what happens but I don't think Wilder actually wants a Fury fight in the next three months anyway so will get resolved.

Yeah but Bob Arum is a complete bell end. Did you factor that in to your riposte? :)

He's a boxing promoter. Goes with the territory. So yes I did :)

All previous points stand. Regardless of promoter.
