I find the presenters VERY ANNOYING.........when driving, unfortunately I am usually out-numbered 3-1 (2 daughters + wife)............but ocassionally do put my foot down and play something I know is sure to pi55 them off ie. the Coldstream Guards, theme from Resevoir Dogs, etc. Capital is just a recurring list of sh!te music presented by school disco DJ's.
all depends on your taste really, i prefer listening to absolute radio, great mixture of classic rock/indie music and i also find christian o'connels breakfast show very entertaining
Got to be 6music for me, all the best of old and new, even though they do play the odd dodgy Coldplay track now and then...
I haven't listened to a music based radio show for decades, apart from Brian Matthew's Sound of the Sixties on a Saturday morning. I can't imagine a DJ playing what I want to listen to and you have to put up with the DJ's 'witty' repartee. I much prefer my well stacked iPod and have plenty of playlists to choose from for car journeys. This does mean that I genuinely have never heard of the rubbish that my daughter asks me to buy for her. The upside is that I don't have to waste time listening to rubbish like Coldplay or One Direction, so there's no need for forming any great dislike for them if they never come on to my radar. A bit like ITV and BBC3. I can see that all they ever show is rubbish, so I don't ever bother looking what's on there and that way stuff like "i'm in the jungle and I'll do anything to get on telly" doesn't bother me as I just disregard it.
95% of it, yes. But they have made great shows, they just end up cancelling them. Being Human being the latest.
Add to that Nicky Minaj Quite possibly the most talentless sack of sillicone ever to come out of America.
Didn't know they'd done it so just listened on YouTube, it's shockingly bad. It did say the money is going to Comic Relief so that's one good thing.
