    40th Anniversary for me next month

    3-2 home defeat to Barrow, August 1968, was my first game.
    Crystal's got me one of these as an anniversary present :-

    Congrats

    Apparently my first game was a friendly v Preston about 1975.</p>

    First one I remember is losing 1-0 at home to Lincoln. Graham taylor was their manager at the time as I recall.</p>

    Following Barnsley was much more of a simple task back then...</p>

    Bobby Doyle missed a second half penalty

    In that Lincoln game. Kenny Brown was presented with the 1975/76 Player Of The Year Trophy prior to kick off, too.

    That was season Lincoln won league and fetched a fair following think it was our highest gate of season around 8,000.

    Followed by a PA announcement that the final score from the Goldstone Ground was Brighton 1 Ipswich 1 and that we would be at home to Notts County in the Play Offs.

    5 Mins later, Score correction; Brighton 2 Ipswich 1. See you all next season. I slumped to the terraces in the Ponty and sat motionless for 20 mins until someone suggested beer to kill the pain. :'(

    a couple of years ago. Despite having Heckinbottom sent off (quite rightly) we absolutely played them off the park. Poxy tw*t Brunt scored with seconds to go. Walking back to car all Owls fans saying we were unlucky. DID NOT make me feel any better.
