    Bristol Rovers home under Machin.....

....somehow managed to lose 1-0 in one of the most one-sided matches I've ever seen. Also, when we lost at home to Wigan in the first season after relegation. I left at half time, 0-3 down. That was when it hit home that we really were in a complete mess, both on and off the field.

    Molyneux was ace!

I loved the South Stand terrace. Absolutely massive, split home & away fans. It was always a great atmosphere. I lived in Wolves in the 80's and often went to see them play. Even with 5,000 in the ground (they got relegated 3 years in a row while I was there!) there was always loads of noise.

Usually it formed part of a protest against the board!

    Oh I remember that

We were losing 1-0 at half time...stuck in a couple of pens down the touchline.....the atmosphere was horrible.....

We ended up winning 2-1.....we came home went to Whispers and I ended up shagging a bird from Leeds who worked at our place....!!!

    What a night...!!!

    Remember that day so well

Had to miss the game as I was making my "Debut" for the English Universities Football team.
There were 4 new players who were asked to introduce themselves, say which team we supported and yes (believe it or not) which team we batted for(!).
Well my selections didn't go down too well cos a) the captain was a Wolves supporter, and b) I batted for the wrong side. I was named as sub!
Had the last laugh though. Came off the bench to score (on the field that is!) ... oh and if only I'd had a camera for when the results came through from Wolves!! :D

Sheffield United At Oakwell In The Promotion Season

I cant remember who we played on the Tuesday night at home before the Friday game with Sheff Utd i think it may have been Swindon and we were shocking it was a really foggy night, i remember saying to my mate has we left the ground "If we play like that against Sheff Utd they will hammer us". Fortunatly Sheff Utd never turned up and we ran out easy winners.

    Got to agree with you

I've never been more gobsmacked at a Barnsley win in my life and it was thoroughly deserved, too.
