Fulham 4 Juventus 1 - sat next to a very depressed pair of Italians in the 'neutral stand at Craven Cottage. Was a great game.

That reminds me. I once went in the Portsmouth end for a cup tie at Leeds. Portsmouth won 3:2 and it was a belter of a game. Not least cos Leeds obviously thought theyd walk it. It was very amusing.

I was at that match and nearly had my head taken off when Graeme Sharp blasted the ball in anger after being given offside (he apologised!). I was in the St John Ambulance in Sheffield, so used to go to whichever match was on in Sheffield when we weren't at home. It was usually Wednesday. I backed out of the infamous semi-final game the morning of the match, as there were going to be plenty of St John people there and I couldn't bring myself to miss the home game against Birmingham. Very mixed emotions with what happened. On the one hand I was glad I didn't have to go through what my mum, girlfriend and mates (all in St John Ambulance) had to go through, whereas on the other hand I wish I had been there to help. Awful.

I'd actually moved to Liverpool by then though and was back home for a few weeks holiday. I also joined the St John Ambulance in Liverpool and went to loads of games at Anfield and Goodison. I was at the derby at Goodison the first game after the Hillsborough disaster and on a more cheerful note I was at the 9-0 v Crystal Palace (hearing the Palace fans sing 'you're not singing any more' to an empty Kop at the end of the game when they got held behind was class!) and I was at the Liverpool 0 Arsenal 2 game too. Incredible game. If you've never been on the Kop at Anfield it was an unreal experience. You'd finish the game 40 yards from where you started. At the beginning of the game they used to pass kids down over their heads to stand at the front and if anyone got hurt you'd hear the shout go up somewhere on the Kop and then you'd see someone get passed down over everybody's heads. Well, with a minute or so of the game to go there was an almighty shout, which was difficult to hear over the Fans singing 'Champions, Again!'. A teenage girl was being passed down so we shot up and ran over to behind the goal. I actually cut the corner, so I maintain that I was the only person on the pitch during the most famous league match ever that wasn't employed by either club or the FA! Some of my colleagues from the other corner got there first, so I wasn't really needed when I got there (the girl had actually has a respiratory arrest, but was soon revived and whizzed off to hospital). So I was stood right behind the Arsenal goal and in front of the Kop when I heard 15,000 gasps (15,001 when the girl started breathing again!) so I turned round and saw Thomas stick it in the net at the other end of the pitch. I immediately turned round to look at the Kop and I've never seen anything like it since. The colour drained from the faces and there was just silence. At the end of the game the Kop emptied very quickly, despite the reporters saying that the Scousers stayed behind to give Arsenal a round of applause. Did they heck as like!

So I suppose they are the most famous games I attended and nearly attended. I went to the Cup Final that year too. It was a thank you from Everton and Liverpool FC that they put a block of tickets aside for us. We still had to pay, but got first refusal on them. Can't imagine many clubs would have done that. But then again it wasn't a typical season.

Difficult to choose a most random game, as I've been to dozens, but I was at the last play off final at the old Wembley (as many of us were) and the first at the new Wembley, which I don't suppose many of us were. That was the Conference play off final between Exeter and Morecambe. With my Exeter supporting mates and wearing a Paul Tidsdale mask, complete with cravat!

Weston Supermare FC v Bishop Stortford a couple of seasons ago.

The Stortford manager was proper old school bonkers and was having big arguments with the lino who has easily holding his own.

    Chesterfield v Rotherham.

    Bout three years ago.

    Friday night game on telly.

Top of the table clash. Rotherham turned up with a big club mentality with a load of hard ens giving it large to get chased out a pub by a couple of irate women before they got stuffed five nowt.

Jack Lester tore them to bits. Hat trick if I remember.

Right game, one of the best I've witnessed.

Croatia v denmark , euro 96 at swillsbro...

Had a couple of hours drinking in the park with both sets of fans prior to the match and then our tickets were right in the middle of the croatians on leppings lane upper tier, who had whipped themselves into a frenzy. Both sets of fans were absolutely fantastic and the atmosphere was brilliant. Davor Sukar scored the winner chipping Smeichel from outside the box.

When I was a nipper my Dad & his mate used to go to any local teams that were in the play-offs (if we could get tickets) or any other local games if Barnsley were away & we weren't able to go.
91-92 season we sat in the away end for the second leg of Scunny v Crewe, first game finished 2-2.
I was only 7 so can't remember much about the game (finished 2-0 to Scunny after a quick check on soccerbase!) and all I can remember is that it was a pain in the arse trying to find anywhere to park and Scunny fans invaded the pitch three times & caused massive delays to the game.

I always frequented Northampton Town vs. Peterborough United derbies at Sixfields. First football song I ever learnt was "Cheer up Barry Fry..." :D

Been to games at New Douglas Park, Fir Park, Hampden Park, Celtic Park, McDiarmad Park, Tynecastle, Rugby Park and Dumbarton's ground up here.

The only game I've ever attended as a neutral, was Rotherham vs Shrewsbury at the DVS a few years ago, when Andy Liddell had a short stint as manager. The game was woeful, Shrewsbury found themselves 3-0 up after 3 defensive calamities from Rotherham. The game finally bust into life with 20 left to play when Adam Le Fondre made his return from injury to score and assist in what finished 2-3 to the visitors.

    Only ever been to one.

    Hull vs Doncaster in 2010.

Free tickets were handed out at the University so I went down with my mates.

Was about -4 degrees, no atmosphere whatsoever and a truly terrible game that finished 0-0.

Spurs 0-0 Leeds in about 1990, the game where Chapman got his face smashed on the asphalt round the pitch.

York 1-2 Burnley in about 1992, Burnley needed a point for promotion, they brought so many fans that all the York crowd were stuffed into 2 stands, the place was packed to the rafters.

Liverpool 2-1 Stoke in about 1994, in the League Cup, think it was a quarter final.

Been to a few at York to be honest.

I've attended plenty as a neutral due to work but the most random of them all was York vs Salisbury on a cold Tuesday night. Had to rush from my other job to get there, it was freezing and raining and was a **** game.

I could say North Ferriby vs Chasetown or Hall Road Rangers vs Long Eaton and despite it being work, I was also supporting my local non league side which I don't think counts.

Went to loads whilst at Uni and working away in seventies and the eighties.

A few stand out. Millwall v Preston at the old Den, where two sets of sarf London's finest battled each other for 90 minutes as the coppers looked on.

League Cup final replay at Old Trafford, Forest v Liverpool...a Uni mate went to Forest's box office late afternoon the day of the game and was GIVEN a couple of tickets.

Whitley Bay v Tow Law Town, where I looked after an old bloke's dog for most of the game, as he was on the bog suffering the shits.

My first ever match was Scunny v Liverpool in a pre-season friendly, probably 80 or 81, and my second game was Scunny v Spurs a year later - both at the Old Showground (RIP). Seeing as I lived in there at the time its probably not too random.

Also saw Wales v Sweden at Wrexham (94) and it made me realise that the Scouse Welsh hate the Southern Welsh nearly (but not quite) as much as the English. Henrik Larsson was fantastic that game (1-3 Sweden IIRC).

Went to Hillsborough and saw Wednesday lose 6-1 (I think) to Nottingham Forest. Stan Collymore scored a hat full and was completely unplayable. Best performance by any player I have ever seen play live
