    It's a shame Gordon Brown sold our gold reserves so cheaply. Could have done with what they would have been worth now.

    Rumours are surfacing that the Tory MPs are so mad at Sunak that they are plotting a leadership coup and trying to replace him within the week before Parliament ends. This could see the election cancelled while another new leader is installed.

    And let us not forget that only 3-4 years ago the government spent £2m+ on a refit of a press briefing room in No 9 Downing Street, where Sunak could have held the press conference without getting soaked...

    I wonder how long it'll take for him to call a by-election if he retains his seat but the Tories lose. Can't imagine him wanting to stick around for too long.
