the major problem here is that swinson is a yellow tory. yes she doesn't like brexit and has , along with her predecessor been very opportunist in positioning her party on the remain side.

unfortunately shes so far misaligned with labour on every other issue i dont think a coalition would last very long before she rounded up her MP's and backed the blue horse.

How do you know remain-voters wouldn’t accept it? That’s just a convenient prop for your cause. I voted remain and still passionately believe we’d be better staying in, but would absolutely accept the result of a definitive people’s vote where all the facts and possible consequences are laid out beforehand.

I agree, they wouldn't go into a coalition with either Labour or Tories now.

Me too & would have accepted May's deal, if it had passed in Parliament, at least it would have protected a lot of jobs & would have kept the irish peace process on course.

My view entirely....I've read and heard a lot of 'worst deal in history' stuff from both sides of the Leave/Remain divide....but few people ever explained why.

As far as I could see it pleased no one, not extreme enough for some, not as close to remain for the others. No doubt it affected someone’s ability to make money too.

If it comes back which I think it will with a very minor tweak it will get through, Boris proclaims himself a hero and the fools all fall for it.
