    You know what, I worked with a guy in the military who had the change. Never told anyone he was having it done, just sent an email saying when I come back from leave (2 years) I will no longer be called Jan, I'll be known as Janice. Now, call me small minded or whatever you want but when he/she came back, dressed in female uniform, everyone just thought of he/she as a bit of a freak, all the males still thought of he/she as a male in women's clothes and all the females thought the same but worse. He/she was escorted out of Marks and Spencer's female changing rooms by security because girls were complaining of a male in women's clothes being in the changing area, he/she also still had the same deep voice, adams apple and hairy hands and to cap it all, he/she was never happy, went off with another transgender (how does that work) and is now trying to sue the military for discrimination.
    You'll say that's money well spent and I'll disagree with you, but differing opinions doesn't mean either of us is right or wrong.

    Sadly I don't think it is. There's a growing "fat acceptance" movement which relies on bad pseudoscience, just google "health at every size" or "intuitive eating".

    I'd be more than happy to discuss my 5 stone weight loss if it helps. But I do believe you may have misinterpreted the point I was trying to make.
