Well I personally would rather watch my dad take a bath than listen to a Lee Johnson interview. He isnt honest, well, he's either not honest or thick as ****, probably a bit of both. I dont think I can recall a time when so many fans were so disengaged to the club. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's too big a gamble I guess. It would probably work, his experience is exactly what we need, but if it didn't, if we lost, and particularly if someone skipped past him, put him on his arse and scored, the idea would look desperate and ridiculous. He'd be vilified and his position would become untenable.
Transfer windows are irrelevant if the 'head coach' isn't able to bring the players in he wants. So who goes the Head Coach who can't get the players he's given to work in his system or the Head of Recruitment who hasn't got the players that can work with the Head Coaches system.
Can anybody tell me exactly where this myth that LJ cant bring in his own players has come from? Because id put my mortgage on Conor Wilkinson being a solely LJ signing for starters. I also remember stating with just about every signing through the summer that he'd 'done his due diligence' on them. The buck starts and ends at LJ for the mess of this side at the minute. Lee Johnson Bobby Hassell and Martin Devaney are the answer to all our problems...apparently. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If I want Shepherd's Pie for tea, I got to the shop, buy the ingredients, come home and cook it. I don't have someone else do the shopping and hope there's minced lamb, onions and potatoes in the fridge when I come to prepare the meal. Chances are I'll get an aubergine, some chicken drum sticks and a bag of rice. **** knows what to do with that. We can't function as a football club without a manager. We can, however, operate perfectly well if the manager also doubles up as head of recruitment. Such a system got a tiny club like ours in to the biggest league in the world under one manager. Another manager came within a hair's breadth of achieving the same just 2 years later. Christ knows why we now think it can't work in League 1 when we're starting from a better position than the rest in terms of income. If there is a bullet out there with someone's name on it, I hope that name is the head of recruitment.
Generally I'd agree, but I'm not sure wing is a position we have many of our own players. Perhaps he should just keep running directly at the goal and hope it confuses the keeper who lets him run in to the back of the net
Clearly not as he's still in the job. <img src="http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2010/07/28/article-1298480-00CB5C6100000190-457_233x301.jpg">
Can just imagine LJ poncing about the pitch shouting 'Dont Panic!' Haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Great point. True dat. So he must have wanted them. Nowt he said at the time suggested he was having players foisted on him. There may have been other players he wanted that he was told no on though. But if there were our squad would be ginormous.
When are lass says 'are you doing tea tonight', I say yep, and go and sort it. I don't ask her to go make it herself, and usually don't even ask her what she wants. But we always end up having a meal we both enjoy. There's another food-based analogy for ya.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
