Everyone at a wedding 'fayre' can seriously go to hell and back on toast and that.

Went to 1 wedding event and it was like a used car saleman convention. Everyone jumping on you as soon as you dare even look at their display of *****. Chocolate fountain my arse.

Excuse my ignorance and I know I'm going to regret asking this but hasn't the Transfer Window closed?

Thought that must be the case.

What are the rules on loan signings? I'm totally confused by the whole thing now. I thought the word "emergency" came into it somewhere, but a ninth striker hardly constitutes an emergency does it? (doh)

    I thought...

that the loan part of the deadline was one week after the transfer deadline as ritch tea once put it, "we still have a week left to sign a loanee". And as harry put it, only in exceptinoal circumstances...

But of course, I may be wrong.

I've got it now, lads and lasses!

    From the BBC Website:

With January's transfer window closed, Premiership and Football League clubs cannot sign players until the summer.
In exceptional circumstances, such as if a club had no goalkeepers available, the Premiership might consider allowing a club to sign a player.

In the Football League and Conference, loan deals are permitted from 8 February until 23 March at 1700 GMT.

These clubs can also ask for special dispensation for emergencies, such as if they had no goalkeepers available.

The transfer window system does not apply to clubs below Conference National level.

    When the transfer window closed

You couldn't sign anyone on loan for the following week. After that week elapsed you can sign 'emergency' loans. However, there is absolutely no criteria for what constitutes an emergency loan and in reality you can sign anyone. The whole thing is a load of ****.
