From what I can gather, his dad insisted he should have been playing, which led to the loan in the end...
His woeful attitude and his dad thinking his son was Paul Scholes reborn and warranting of everyone at the club to kiss his feet led to him being shipped to the posh. To be fair to George he just believed the hype and praise his dad and others gave to him but he was very arrogant in his attitude. He went out on loan, realised he wasn't all that and needed to work as hard as everyone else, came back and knuckled down. Which gave him his chance - a chance he would always have been given if he'd chosen to belt up and earn it. But no, as hemsy says, it was Heckys fault... If George chooses to play how he's asked and buys into the team ethos, instead of trying to be the Hollywood player every week, (not saying he does this all the time, but he has it about him), he could be absolutely magnificent. And the signs are the penny has dropped. A fully functioning George moncur can only be a huge asset; let's hope he carries the form into the league campaign
Yes he was shown he was wanted. Firstly he was wanted because we paid a fee for him & secondly, he was given a three year contract which again shows he was wanted. By hi own admission, the problems he had were more or less self inflicted & his attitude has now changed. Fair play to the lad & lets hope he continues to blossom with us
Agree it was nothing to do with us however people...I ask ....did you Ever think his dad might have been the problem..it looks like it to me on reflection..
