I read it as you saying that wanting your grandkids to not be a different race isn't racist. If that's not what you were trying to say then I apologise, but it wasn't clear.

 

Though some of the sentiment, I can see where you're coming from, I think your finger isn't pointing at the right culprit. Media and unelected powers hold incredible sway on parts of the public.

In the space of days, sometimes less, you'll have a media operator criticising the government for not doing something and not spending money. Then when they do, criticise it for being too slow, then asking where the money is from. Then suddenly criticising where that money has come from and whipping up perceivedly (sic) affected groups. And that happens constantly, daily, many times a day. And it happens in 80% of papers and TV channels.

I think government should be held to account. I don't think the media should take contrarian stances on everything. I don't know what could be done to balance the media, and of course there would be screams from retain quarters, just like they squeaked about Leveson until Cameron rode to his mates' rescue.

 

I didn't say that at all, like said I was replying to someone else who believes anyone who is against immigration is down to the fact they don't want people coming over contaminating the bloodlines. I questioned weather he actually believed what he wrote because it's ridiculous.

I said it’s at the root of it all. There’s no other explanation. All the statistics say immigration is a net positive economically, so to be against it means you’re against it for cultural reasons. “Keep Britain British” etc. aka racism.

Either people are racist or they believe what racist people tell them they should be upset about.

 

The food at Camden market is great as well. We had Thai last time. Thought it was a bit pricey until they gave us the portions, didn’t want owt eat the rest of the day!
